
Infra-red passenger detector
Passenger detector automatically triggers the taximeter once the infra-red device detects the passenger on board, the taximeter will turn to business mode to calculates the fare mandatory, thus preventing the taxi driver from cheating .The detector uses the infra-red to transfer the control signal.
The major parts of this system are the emitting and receiving units, Thewavelength of this infra-red signal is 0.88um~0.94um, which smaller than the radio wave, thus causing no interference to other radio equipment.

Passenger sensor installation
One sets of the passenger sensor including two pair of infra-red .
One pair of sensor head with transmitter and receiver, which can install on the front seat, beside the vehicle door .Another pair of sensors separate into two part ,one transmitter and one receiver, which can install on left and right side of the rear door ,During the sensor detecting the passenger in car , the sensor control board will send out the low logic signal to taximeter , the taximeter will tune to business mode .so the taximeter have to create one input port for detect this signal , in the normal status ,this input port must pull up to high logic voltage to prevent error to sense someone in car while the passenger sensor unready to install.
